Empties - July '17

Uffda, another long blog break.

Trying to be better [as always] about uploading!

Here are my empties from [probably late June and] July.

Forever Witch Baby Soap products!
Magic Beach bar soap was amazing.
Love Sugar Scrub was nice, but not the best scrub I've used from them. Also I used up a sample of Kat Von D's Saint perfume. I like it.

Bioderma which is my favorite micellar water.
Too Faced Shadow Insurance - it was good. I just used this when I used up my UD Primer Potion.
Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield - I loved this stuff! Blurs well and has SPF, so I ordered a full size.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes - a traveling staple.

B&BW Vanilla Bean Noel hand soap - smelled super yummy!
B&BW Very Merry Meringue - oh my god this smelled so good, I wanted to drink it. If you've ever had Perkins' lemon meringue pie, this is a soap version.
White Barn Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla Candle - YUM. I wanted to keep the jar so bad but I have so many and I don't use them.
B&BW Chestnut & Birch, Snowflakes & Citrus Wallflowers - both very nice. Chestnut & Birch was a little manly which I like.

So many bath bombs! They're all from Witch Baby Soap and all smell wonderful. The boxed one is also Witch Baby and it's the Magic Beach scent. Also from WBS is this Red Salt I would just throw in my bath from time to time.
Mullein & Sparrow French Lavender Body Oil - I got this in a Fab Fit Fun box and I loved it! Want to try more things from this brand.
Used up some Q tips.... fancy.
Up & Up brand cotton rounds, Shopko cotton rounds & my favorite Shiseido facial cottons. The best.
Vitafusion Biotin gummies - taste so good, I get them on Amazon.
Soft Touch Foot Peel Mask - my bestie gave this to me. It definitely worked! So weird. And addicting.
Finally used up this Joico Violet Conditioner. It wasn't the best.
Biolage Hydra Source Hair Mask - I loved this!
Ouidad Omega 3 Mask - meh.... did not love. Had to re-wash with shampoo after using this.
Fortune Cookie Soap Tame the Beast Hair Detangling Spray - Smelled nice, worked alright.
Herbal Essences Coconut Milk Shampoo & Conditioner - This smelled so yummy!

Finish 17 in '17 Update 2 [hella late]

Hiyoooo - I have another update for my Finish 2017. It's super late, but it's here. haha

I have replaced a couple items so far. Also I had planned to throw up another update already, so there's already another mark before these ones.

First off, YAY I finished this nail polish! I still had a little left on the bottom, we all know how hard it is to get everything out of these mini bottles! So awesome! 1 out of 17 done!

Not too much progress on my Mac Prep & Prime Lip and on the Tarte Univeral Lip Liner. I'm trying to use it up! Lypsyl is slow but I do use it a lot! Then, to add another product in after the polish, I added the Jordana Continuous Almond Eye Pencil. I love this thing. I think this is my 2nd one? Not the last for sure.

Still chugging along on my Mac x Kelly Osbourne Blush in Cheeky Bugger. I've got a decent dip going! Just waiting to hit pan!  Not a ton of progress on the Sexy Mama Powder by the Balm, but some! Almost done with my Maybelline Better Skin Powder! [ps I re-pressed it]
Another view of the blush. Tried to get the dip!

Another replacement product is this Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid in Pink. [again, notice the two marks.... planned to do another update that never went up.] I'm replacing the perfume oil with this. Was just not getting used....at all. Pretty confident I can use this up soon. Again, Lovecraft by KVD is hard to tell progress on, but I use it almost daily! The FCS Cuticle Oil is going well.... kinda. haha hard to get progress marks on! Also I did have progress on the Neutral Set powder but none lately.

Also chuggin along on the Hempz lotion.... I will finish it this year! I'm so bad with using up lotion.
More progress on the KVD Primer and Foundation!

and YAY PAN ON ABH DIPBROW YAS. I've never gotten this far on a DipBrow! Getting a bit tired of this Colourpop Liner, but I do try to use it as often as I can!!!!

And finally, another replacement. This is replacing the Erno Lanzlo Cleansing Oil because I cannot find it. At all. Anywhere.
This is a Temptu liquid highlighter I got in either an Ipsy or Birch Box. I like it but I never reach for it. But I have been loving it lately.

Anywho, that's it! I'll probably not put up another update until the end of June/early July.

Year of Empties - 2016

Hello!

About time I take some time to sit down and write this.

At the end of 2015, I had watched a video of [Cherish] PrettyPistol86's yearly empties. She saves up more than I do, I believe but I wanted to save up all of my makeup empties. So from primers to setting sprays, these are all that I used up in 2016.

So, overall, I finished:

3 setting sprays [2 had gone missing by this time.... and of course I found them right after disposing of these]
7 primers
4 foundations
1 concealer
2 lip products
3 brow pencils
4 brow gels
4 liquid liners
3 pencil liners
4 face powders
15 mascaras [primer included]

Also the chubby lip pencil and two liners at the bottom were declutter items.

And yes, I'm saving this 2017's empties as well. And I did save my MAC packaging!

It feels pretty cool to see the makeup products I was able to get through in a year!

October 2016 Favorites

Wow how is it already November?

First off, you'll have to excuse my poor ass photos; this is what happens when I get an idea for a post, get too lazy to drag out my tripod and lighting and shoot late in the day, very very quickly.

I've actually been up at my husband's cabin for about a week now. Usually I would have hated to miss Halloween festivities but I have been battling a respiratory type of sickness for a month now, so since I wasn't feeling great, we headed up north.

Cell reception and wifi have been a bit hard to come by, but I've been making it work and somewhat enjoying the quiet. I finished a book and am about to start a new one.

Anywho, these are the products I've been loving lately. I had a great show of all of these products open, but it was just too out of focus/blurry to post. So sorry!

First is the Kat Von D Metal Matte Palette. IT'S SO GOOD. Much better, in my opinion, than the Serpentina Palette. Also from KVD is the Limited Edition Studded Kiss Lipstick in Mother. I love the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick version as well but I cant resist the LE packaging. The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Quartz. So pretty and just fine on my fair skin! This Chanel Eyeliner in Eros is amazing. I love red eye products. If I can ever find this anywhere [it's so hard to track down] I'm going to repurchase. So creamy, so red, makes my eyes pop. LOVE IT. And finally, Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Corrector in Pink. It's nice and brightening for me; most days I don't need to mix it with another concealer.
Chanel liner, KVD lipstick, Becca Rose Quartz, natural light

I did have swatches of my favorite shadows from the Metal Matte palette, but they were also super shaky, so I think I may do a separate post for my favorite shades.

What did you love for the month of October? =]

Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Eye Look

Hi friends!

Just posting a look I did a while ago. I had this idea to do a deep navy eye with a plummy/burgundy mascara. In my mind, this would look amazing and edgy, but in reality, it failed a bit and just looked like any normal look.

I'll probably try it again and try to make the mascara brighter! Probably a white liner or white lash primer.

This was done using the Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass eyeshadow palette. I wasn't very impressed with this palette in the beginning, unsure why I even bought it. However, I've been playing more with it and learning to love it!

The mascara I used was the MAC Zoom Lash in Beets Me. It's really a gorgeous color! Clinique also does a great one that I may try next time.

And yay for more glittery fallout! My inner corner highlight is my main B Kat Von D Thunderstruck.

MAC Eye Look - Teal/Green

Here's just a random eye look that I liked one day.

This was done using Teal Appeal and Shock Factor from MAC. These shadows were okay, I definitely needed a sticky base. Teal Appeal was a lot better than Shock Factor.

I also used my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper - my main bitch.

I believe the inner corner is one of the loose duo chromes from Make Up Geek. Sugar Rush, I think? Or it could have been a Make Up For Ever pigment but ya know, whatever. Sugarpill's Lumi would be the best one for this though! But it's still in storage.

Also, I think I used Urban Decay's Mars Eyeliner on the bottom lash line. Anastasia Darkside Waterproof Eye Pencil to tightline.

I have to laugh, the picture using flash just goes to show how hairy my brows actually are, even though I am convinced my brow hairs are invisible. Plus glittery fallout! Which I don't mind, personally.

No. 100 - Kat Von D Serpentina Palette Look

Cheers to 100 posts and to a new post in general!

Again - I suck at uploading.

I went on a no buy but my exceptions are always Kat Von D products [cheating, I know, but I need her products] so I squealed when I saw this palette on Instagram.

I ordered it and am still a little iffy on it but so far two shades have been used more than the others. Queen and Hieroglyph are gorgeous as hell and so this look is showcasing them. Mostly Hieroglyph but I chucked Queen on the outer corner for some dimension. Also used Thunderstruck in the inner corner and on my brow bone, which I use almost everyday.

This is a pretty KVD heavy face as well. I used my favorites also so the product list is this:

The Serpentina Palette
Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow
Shade & Light Blush in Piaf & Poe [I know these got pulled but I LOVE MINE]
Metal Crush Eyeshadow in Thunderstruck [mine is shattered, still works amazingly well]
Tattoo Liner in Trooper [my LE packaging one is still going strong]
Lightning Liner in Ludwig

Natural Light

Flash
And for the whole look, although I realize you can't see the blush well.
