Eotd - 2/21/14

Well last night we just got dumped on with snow. The warmer temps were really welcome, but the snow was just wet and heavy as hell!

And my skin is in hell right now! I'm super dehydrated, thank you alcohol and wind and cold. I spent the earlier part of this morning helping Sean dig his car out so he could move it for the plows and shoveling the sidewalk. I don't hate winter, but I hate how snowy it's been.. there's nowhere to put the snow!

Anyways, so when I finally could come inside and do my makeup, I just randomly picked a palette out of my pile (say that 5 times fast) and sort of groaned when I picked the Ladybird palette from Kat von D. An all matte eye? Very not me. But I ended up liking it enough to take a few photos.

I ADORE Kat von D's makeup line, but this has to be my least favorite palette... The colors aren't very flattering on me, but I need to own it. haha!

So here she is... obviously barely used. The shades from L to R are: Fur Elise, Vespertine, Renholder, Siouxsie-sioux, Unrequited, Harlow, Wolf, and Cleopatra. 

I used Jordana's 12 Hour Made to Last pencil in Almond as a base, then put Fur Elise on the outer corner, Unrequited on the inner half and Harlow to blend them out in the crease.

Well, I'm working on blogging more frequently, even if it's not a huge post.

Last year during the holidays, I bought the Nordstrom exclusive set of 10 1.2 oz of diptyque's best selling candles. So far, I have burned one completely, which is baies. It's one of the most popular scents, ever. 

diptyque's site says it smells of "a bouquet of roses and blackcurrent leaves." I suppose my nose isn't very sophisticated, but it smelled great. Not too strong and not too girly. It did have a decent burn time, however, I didn't take note of how long. 

These candles are SUPER expensive, but I could probably see myself purchasing a bigger one down the road once I burn up more of my huge stash of candles.

Week 5

Holy crap!

Half of me can't believe it's already week 5 of school, and the other half of me wishes it were going by faster. I'm so stressed out!

Between school, house issues, bank issues, laundry, cleaning, my own health and wellbeing... I'm just pooped.

HOWEVER.

Yesterday I had to go and take a photo for a composite assignment and ended up taking a ton of photos at the Como Zoo and Conservatory. I haven't really taken photos for myself in a while.. besides makeup looks.

I'm pretty nervous about Friday, because I have to give a presentation on Beowulf in my Literature class. I like the story, I just hate giving presentations and I can hardly find time to read it [and actually concentrate on it]. Besides, I'm too distracted by the Olympics. =]

Tomorrow, I'm going to work on getting some posts queued up.. since I actually have stuff to write about lately!

Small victory today - I ran a little faster and farther at the gym! It involved me walking a few times, but I'm pretty happy... my legs, however, probably will be sad all week.

Life lately

I AM BEING SUCH A POOPY BLOGGER.

Life is being extremely exhausting lately, and has no plan of slowing down.

I really am trying to blog more.

School is seriously kicking my ass this quarter... let alone just being an adult. haha Can't I just go back to being 17 and having my mom's help with life? Please?
